Do you have to use the pumpkin puree and the spices or can you use the pumpkin pie mix that you can buy premixed? I think your recipe sounds divine. I have never made a pumpkin meringue pie. It was always lemon or butterscotch for us. My grandmother used to make them both from scratch and they tasted like it too.
