Bourbon Pumpkin Pie with Black Sesame Crust
You're sure to impress the crowd when you make this Bourbon Pumpkin Pie with Black Sesame Crust! This pie recipe is perfect for Thanksgiving, but it could easily be served for any occasion this fall.
From the blogger: "With brown butter and a splash of bourbon, this Bourbon Pumpkin Pie is an update on a classic holiday favorite. To give it a little extra 'je nai se quoi,' ground black sesame seeds were added to the crust, as was a sprinkling of turbinado sugar for a nice crunch. Pie crust leaf cutouts were pre-baked and then attached to the top of the pie crust with an egg wash during the last 30 minutes of baking. The remaining pre-baked leaves were placed directly on the pie itself once it was removed from the oven."

Do you use fresh or dried ginger in your recipe? If dried, then how much fresh should I use to make this dessert? I love that you put the fresh lemon juice in this recipe. I do not see a lot of citrus in pumpkin pie recipes, so this is definitely a nice change.
