Do you keep your butter in the freezer until you are ready to use it? I know some of the recipes I come across call for you to cut up the butter and place the dish in the freezer until you are ready to use it in the mix. I also see some that call for cold shortening, but I guess you could put it in the refrigerator until it gets hard too. I know that you have to make it cold for the crust to work, but does it need freezing or refrigerating?
