I love that you chose to put apples and oatmeal together in this recipe. I don't care what you call it because it sounds delicious. I am sure that we will find this a nice recipe to have a on brisk day. We can take a walk after dinner and have a little of this dessert with some ice cream. It sounds like a lovely evening to me.

This looks really good. I would call this a crisp instead of a cobbler, though. The oatmeal topping is different than the traditional shortcake topping.
