Mirabelle Tart

"Mirabelle Tart is one of my favorite french tart cakes out there. Mirabelles are yellow plums, commonly found in France. You might know these delicate sweet fruits from the movie "the perfume". The tart is prepared with an almond-based dough and might be a tad healthier compared to other cream-filled tarts out there. This is my mum's French family recipe. If you can get canned mirabelle plums in your supermarket, try to prepare this special dessert to surprise your family and friends. Serve the tart with whipped cream or ice cream as an afternoon cake time treat with coffee or tea."
