This recipe takes me back to my childhood. My grandma and grandpa had a rhubarb plant in the side yard. Every spring we would go chop some stalks for grandma, and she would have me help her clean it. She would tell me what ingredients to bring her and she would mix up a pie filling mixture that we cooked down on the stove. She loved it, but I was never a fan of the fruit.
