Ingredients
- Batter
- 2 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Confectioners’ sugar for sprinkling on top
- Dipping Sauces
- Nutella
- Raspberry jam
- Caramel sauce

In a medium mixing bowl combine the milk, egg, vanilla and melted butter, whisk until combined.

Add in the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar and mix well.

In a deep frying pan on high, heat about ½-1 inch of vegetable oil.

After the oil is very hot, lower to medium heat.

Using a small measuring cup carefully drop the batter into the oil and cook for 2 minutes until cakes are golden, gently flip over and fry the other side.

Place the fried funnel cake bites onto a baking sheet lined with paper towels.

Sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar and serve with your favorite dipping sauces or whipped cream.
