Amazing Upside Down Apple Pie
This apple pie may not look like other double crust apple pies you've eaten — because it is not. This Upside Down Apple Pie is absolutely amazing, It has classic homemade apple pie filling that is perfectly spiced, and delicious pecan streusel topping made from scratch. The pie is baked in a 9-inch pie dish and then flipped upside down to serve, so the pecan topping is caramelized, crispy, and delicious. You can use a pre-made pie crust for this apple pie recipe, or your own personal favorite homemade pie crust. Either way, this apple pie is sure to be amazing. It will make a great addition to any Thanksgiving feast.

Do you think that it would make a big difference if I used peanuts instead of the pecans in this recipe? We have a food allergy to tree nuts in our home. I love the use of nuts, but we are limited to peanuts or sunflower seeds. I guess I could try pumpkin seeds, but they may be too strong for this dish. I love that you chose apples instead of a pineapple like the cake.

What a unique idea for a pie! The name is perfect for this Amazing Upside Down Apple Pie. The recipe is pretty basic for the apple filling, with a great twist for the topping. Oh-pecans mixed with butter and brown sugar, would make for a yummy caramel pecan crust on top of a pie shell. I have never heard of dumping out a pie on a serving platter. This recipe intrigues me enough that I have to give it a try. Thank you so much for sharing this great free recipe.
