Salted Caramel Apple Hand Pies
Apple pies can look beautiful until you try to slice and serve pieces to friends and family. It is usually a messy process, and requires lots of serving utensils and plates. These Salted Caramel Apple Hand Pies are the perfect solution to this problem. They are individual desserts that pack the same delicious punch as an entire apple pie. The dough is a bit puffier and flakier than pie crust, and the filling has crisp apples and sweet caramel. A hint of sea salt brings out sweet flavors and adds welcome dimension to these hand pies.

Do you keep the butter and sour cream in the freezer or the refrigerator until you are ready to use it? I know people that do both, so I guess it pays to check, just in case. I sure love the way these hand pies look. I can't wait to make them and see if the hubby and kids love them because I know I will.
