Do you wait until the pie filling and the caramel cool to add it to the pie itself, or do you add it while the pie is hot to help spread the caramel around? I love your idea. I can't say I have ever heard of a pie like this, so I am excited to try it out and see what it tastes like. Caramel is one of my favorite toppings, so I am sure that this will be a hit in my home.
