I was wondering if it was better to leave the preserves at room temperature and not open them until you make the bars or to chill the strawberry preserves first? I would think it would be better if everything was room temperature so it would mix well. I can't believe how easy this bars sound to make. I always have these ingredients on hand. Have you tried grape jelly since it is a classic choice?
