- 2 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cup Buttermilk
- 1/3 cup Butter
- 32 ounce Powdered Sugar
- 1 Egg Yolk
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Extract
- 1/2 cup Cream
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- Slices of Lemon

Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease and flour two 8 inch round cake pans and set aside.
