Chocolate Chip Cake
"Who says cookies get to have all of the fun? This Chocolate Chip Cake is a great way to celebrate chocolate chips in a different format! I used my go-to white cake recipe except this time I folded a handful of chocolate chips in at the end. Now I admit that this cake was a bit of a pain to bake. I chose to go with 4 thin layers of cake, and that meant extra work. I simply baked the cakes in two different rounds, but you could also bake 2 thicker layers of cake and then split each layer in half with a large cake knife. You could also skip the 4 layers entirely and just go with 2 layers – although if you go that route, you’ll want to cut the frosting in half, too. There’s no need for the extra frosting with only 2 layers of cake…or is there??"
