This is going to sound really dumb, but I have never put vanilla or sugar in my whipped cream. I always just whipped the cream and used it as is. I also always wondered what the appeal was for something so bland. Now I know why. I have been cooking since I was a child and I dont know why I never bothered to flavour it.
