Delicious Air Fryer Churros
"My very favorite fair food is a warm churro! Does it get any better than warm fried dough dipped in cinnamon and sugar? Making churros at home is so much fun, but it can be messy and greasy with all that oil. Air fryer churros to the rescue! Air fryer churros are crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and so delicious. They taste amazing on their own, but they’re even better with my simple chocolate sauce or gooey caramel sauce! Grab your air fryer and bring the fair to your home with this tasty treat!"

-
First, preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees.
-
To make your churro dough, start by cutting up the butter into tablespoons. Then, add it to a medium-sized saucepan along with the water, milk, and sugar.
-
Cook the mixture over medium heat and stir frequently until it reaches a boil.
-
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the flour. It’s easiest to use a wooden spoon to make sure it gets fully incorporated!
-
Put the saucepan back over the heat and continue stirring for about 2 minutes or until the mixture starts to come together into a smooth ball.
-
Remove the saucepan from the heat again and transfer the dough into a large mixing bowl.
-
Using an electric mixture, beat the dough for a couple of minutes to release some of the heat.
-
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the eggs and the vanilla.
-
Add the egg mixture to the dough a little at a time, using the electric mixer to beat the dough after each addition. Make sure you scrape the bowl to make sure everything gets incorporated!
-
Grab a pastry bag and add an open star decorating tip (#1M). Add the dough to the pastry bag, making sure not to overfill.
-
Using kitchen scissors, pipe the dough directly into the air fryer basket, cutting the dough at about 3-inch lengths.
-
Cook the churros in the preheated air fryer for about 6-8 minutes until they are golden brown.
-
While they cook, you can mix together the sugar and cinnamon in a medium-sized bowl so your topping is ready to go.
-
Remove the cooked churros from the air fryer and immediately add them to the cinnamon and sugar mixture to coat completely.
-
Move the churros to a baking rack to cool for a few minutes.
-
Serve up your yummy churros with chocolate sauce or caramel sauce.
