"I got it in my head recently that I was going to make homemade applesauce. I'm not really sure why, I guess it seemed like the seasonally appropriate thing to do, even though only one of my kids really loves the stuff. But then while we were in Nashville last week I ordered Fried Apples at the Cracker Barrel and thought, forget applesauce. Fried Apples is where it's at.
